Tour de Fleece: Day One

I am happily spinning along on the first day of Ravelry's Tour de Fleece. Decided I needed to get the jumbo flyer broken in and picked a braid of 100% 18.5 micron Merino to start. Working on singles for knitting yarn. Hoping for a nice lace weight yarn. This Merino blooms a bit and is lovely and plump when finished as a 3 ply fingering yarn. Excited to see how a singles spun yarn turns out. The photo of the braid at the bottom is the accurate shade of yellow. The colorway is "Sunlight", a limited edition from Allons-Y Fiber Arts.
