Saving a Red Oak Tree

In 2002, my husband's father died and he had 3 seedling oak trees that had not been planted. So, my husband and his two sisters decided to plant them in his memory.

Last year, we noticed that the oak tree was too close to the lateral lines and decided to move it while it was still relatively small: 9 ft tall and 2" diameter at the base. Today, Marvin Odom came out with a helper and dug the tree up by hand, transplanted it to a new location with plenty of room to grow.
