Socks 2 at a time

I have often thought that the circular needle method of knitting two socks at a time was a good idea especially with regard to having the same gauge in both socks. More than once I have ended up with one sock fitting differently simply because of the fact that there was a bit of time between ending one sock and beginning the second.

Having said that....I have to admit that I love double pointed needles....always have. And, given the fact that I have more than one set of dp's in most sizes that I need, I decided to simply knit both socks at the same time on two sets of dp's. I have a couple of balls of Marks & Kattens Clown superwash wool and cotton sock yarn, so I have one ball for each sock. I think I am going to like this.
